The puppies' first week has gone by super-fast! They have been crawling, squeaking, eating, sleeping, and learning to bark! Here are some photos from days four through six. We hope you enjoy seeing how they have grown!
Astra loves to find a good corner to snooze in! Though her brother Andros finally caught up to her in weight, she is still a puppy of "firsts": first born, first to hit two pounds, first to explore the whelping box, and first to learn to bark (the latter is hilarious)! She was also the first to climb into my lap, which she did yesterday, and then complained loudly that I wasn't her momma. ;)
Andros enjoys exploring new and unusual sleeping positions. He is still very dark, though he is starting to get just a little color on his face. His heels have stayed black. Is he a dual or a bi-color? Only time will tell!
Little Ajax has the most beautiful coloring! See his awesome "racing stripes" on the back of his hocks? Though he was grey at birth, his colors are acquiring a brownish hint. He has also stayed very dark. We will be interested to see if he turns out to be a black sable!
